Duijvestijn successfully harvests tomatoes with WEGA Plus

Tomato grower Duijvestijn in Pijnacker is the first grower to light tomatoes with the WEGA Plus. The tomatoes were grown succesfully with WEGA Plus luminairess under full LED.

Due to the sudden high energy prices, Duijvestijn was forced to illuminate with only the LED fixtures. In 2020, the choice was made for a Hybrid installation. However, they did not switch on the SON-T fixtures last winter due to the high energy prices, so this has worked out well.

The very first 'WEGA' tomato harvest was a fact last mid-December. The colleagues in Rozenburg and Maasdijk were treated to the first tomatoes straight from the greenhouse.
