Manager Finance & Control

Open Position: Manager Finance & Control

Your role
As Manager Finance & Control, you will be responsible for the daily finance and accounting processes and act as a strategic sparring partner to the CFO. You will take ownership of the Financial Administration, cash flow, treasury, forecasting, and reporting, and ensure that it’s future-proof. In addition, you will advise on pricing, investment, financing structures for customers (for example lease or “light as a service”) and support commercial and operational teams with practical, well-founded financial advice.

Your key challenges and responsibilities
The role includes preparing monthly P&L forecasts, conducting budget-holder reviews and actual spend analysis in Business Central. You will also analyse revenue across 4–5 product lines, comparing actuals with budget per product line. In addition, the position combines business control and statutory/corporate control responsibilities, including consolidations and tax-related matters such as VAT and corporate tax. Additionally you’re responsible for:

  • Finance administration & reporting
    Ensure a complete and efficient finance administration, including periodic reporting and closing activities. Not just ticking boxes, but also thinking critically: identify deviations and align them with your colleagues. “I see something odd here, do you recognize that too?”
  • Cash flow, treasury
    Manage cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships; proactively plan liquidity needs.
  • Forecasting, budgeting & management information
    Prepare and improve forecasting and budgeting processes and provide clear management information to the MT and stakeholders.
  • Pricing, margin management & financing structures
    Support pricing and margin management; think along about financing structures and customer-oriented payment models.
  • Continuity & team backup
    Safeguard continuity and foreseen future changes within the team.
  • Business Central & management information
    Further development and maintenance of the Business Central platform, translating data into high-quality management information. This scope extends beyond finance to include Datawarehouse management, CRM, and operations.
  • AO/IC & process optimization
    Set up and improve AO/IC and process documentation; work together with Operations and Supply Chain to create smart, practical solutions.
  • Leadership & collaboration
    Lead (external) accounting work and collaborate with internal colleagues (AP, head accounting) and external parties (banks, auditors).

The organization

Gavita International B.V. is currently undergoing a strategic transition toward sustainable, modular products and software-driven solutions. The culture is direct, no-nonsense, and entrepreneurial, with speed, accountability, and practical solutions at its core.

What are we looking for?

You recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business economics, business administration, or another relevant field;
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, preferably with responsibility for cash flow, treasury, and forecasting;
  • Hands-on, analytically strong, critical, and practical; you take responsibility and work independently;
  • Experience with Business Central and ERP implementations is very valuable;
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Exsion, with the ability to connect to central databases from Excel, retrieve data, and develop insightful reports across both finance and supply chain;
  • Knowledge of the greenhouse horticulture sector, subsidy programs (RVO, EIA), and financing structures is very valuable;
  • Experience with customer-oriented financing solutions (leasing, pay-per-use) or commercial financial advisory is very valuable;
  • Fits into a direct, entrepreneurial team; no hassle, clear communication, and ownership;
  • RA or RC qualification is a plus, but what matters most is your experience, sharpness, and potential you bring.

Not sure whether you fully match the profile? Don’t let that hold you back; we’d be happy to explore together whether this role suits you.

Within Gavita International B.V., you will have room to take initiative, drive improvements, and actively contribute to the further development of organization. In addition, you will receive:

  • A competitive salary based on 38 hours per week, depending on education and experience;

  • An entrepreneurial, direct culture with short lines to the CFO and the MT;
