Gavita International strengthens Plant Specialist Team with the appointment of Charlotte Pijnenburg
Oude Meer, April 8th, 2026 – Gavita International is pleased to announce the appointment of Charlotte Pijnenburg as Plant Specialist to extend its dedicated Plant Specialist team. Charlotte Pijnenburg joins Gavita International with a strong academic and professional background. She is a graduate of Wageningen University & Research and brings over five years of experience as a Plant Specialist at Signify. In her previous role, she developed extensive expertise in plant research, light strategies, and the execution of crop trials.
In her new position at Gavita International, Charlotte will be responsible for managing crop trials and supporting key activities across sales, product development, and research & development. Her role will be instrumental in further strengthening the company’s data-driven approach to horticultural innovation.
Charlotte will work closely with Gert-Jan Dekker, who has been a dedicated Plant Specialist for Gavita International for many years. A graduate of Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and a former tomato grower, Gert-Jan brings valuable practical knowledge to the team, including hands-on experience in transitioning from unlit to lit cultivation, as well as extensive international experience growing under diverse conditions. Together, they will continue to expand Gavita International’s agronomic expertise and reinforce its position as a leader in horticultural lighting solutions. With the addition of Charlotte Pijnenburg, Gavita International further enhances its commitment to supporting growers with advanced knowledge, innovative solutions, and proven cultivation strategies on behalf of the brand Agrolux.
