Over 40 customers and partners at Wielerzesdaagse
5 Dec 2025 - Gavita International kicked off the festive month with a dynamic customer relationship event on 3 December during the 52nd Rotterdam “Wielerzesdaagse”. Gavita International welcomed more than forty partners and clients on the traditional "AGF” Wednesday. For the new owners, CEO Marc Salvany and CFO Ad van der Vorst, the evening offered an excellent opportunity to meet partners in an informal setting and share their vision for the future.
Focusing on the strength of the Agrolux brand
During an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Rotterdam Ahoy, Marc Salvany outlined the ambitions of the company’s new management. “We are full of plans. We want to honor the Agrolux brand and its long history, a name that many of you here today have known for years,” Salvany said. He emphasized that the company is not driven by high-volume sales of lighting fixtures, but by strengthening long-term relationships with growers and partners. “Many growers have been working with Agrolux for years. These are the long-term partnerships we believe in, and from which shared success grows.” CFO Ad van der Vorst added that the company had not been optimally structured in recent years to fully support these relationships. “We strongly believe in the potential of the greenhouse horticulture sector and see tremendous opportunities ahead. With renewed energy, we are building a future-proof Gavita International.”
Targeted investments in innovation
To reinforce these ambitions, Gavita International has expanded its team in recent months and is investing significantly in product development. Van der Vorst revealed a glimpse of what lies ahead: “New software solutions and more modular, sustainable products are in the pipeline.” Further details will be unveiled at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, which will take place from 4 to 6 February 2026.
Sports, connection and collaboration
Guests enjoyed a full program of cycling-related activities, including a meet & greet with tournament director Michael Zijlaard, a behind-the-scenes look at the event, and a guided tour of Rotterdam Ahoy. Cycling club Westland Wil Vooruit, long-time sponsor partner of the Agrolux brand, was also in attendance.
A festive highlight followed when Sander Verbeek (SV.CO) and Bram Zwinkels (Gavita International B.V.) presented an award to Sebastián Mora and Robbe Ghys; a memorable conclusion to a successful and engaging evening.
