AGROS II: Accelerating Autonomous, Climate‑Neutral Greenhouse Cultivation
Greenhouse horticulture faces increasing pressure to become climate‑neutral while managing rising complexity and labour scarcity. In AGROS II, Wageningen University & Research and its partners, which includes us (Gavita International B.V./Agrolux), are developing intelligent algorithms and advanced sensor systems that automatically monitor crop, substrate and climate conditions. With innovations in Digital Twin technology, AI‑based control and automated image analysis, the project aims to support growers and move the sector towards fully autonomous, sustainable greenhouse cultivation.
